TG3: very high CPU usage
For some reason, network activity causes very high amounts of system and interrupt CPU usage. By "very high" i mean more than 50% interrupt, and more than 25% system usage. It is not just a measuring issue either, because the whole reason I looked into it was that file transfers have been slow for as long as I can

I make a dsrepair or then I set dstrace=*. the CPU utilisation is normal for a very short time. In fact it's just the time to ds.nlm to be reload. ... all single cables were fine, so the adapters seemed to cause the problem. but i'm now using a longer x-over cable (30m) where i also get those speed problems. it is a *bit* better, i get about 1-2MB/s in both directions, but i'm also experiencing a very high error rate over the x-over cable.

Check PGA usage. A single Oracle dedicated process can play havoc with memory and disk i/o. Also check how many recursive SQLs are being generated. Oracle crawls to almost a standstill with the box showing very high CPU, memory and disk utilisation. Lastly, if the existing Oracle sessions are still responding,

High CPU in tasking
The CPU load different NICs apply differs with type and drivers. No recent NIC leaves any significant work to the driver (days of ne2k's are long past!). Again, wrong. For example, the current RealTek NICs cause a very high CPU load simply because the chip itself is very simple, and a lot of functions have to be

You'll still see 100% CPU usage, but only on the CPU you run the game on. I use XCPU a lot when I multitask multimedia videos to the max and have both CPU's maxed out at 2.8 ghz. If you want to see what XCPU can do, run SETI without it. then run SETI with it. The machine will bog down with both CPU's maxed out at

MUS 3.0 CPU Usage very, very high
WarFTPd seems to use almost 80% of my CPU. This seems awfully high for a FTP server. When there are no users online the server uses just over 5% which again is alot compared to 1.66x4 which used 0.10% when nobody was online. If anybody has any idea about why this is happening please post a answer. Thanks.
